Ms Melinda Chakurira

Melinda Nyaradzo Chakurira is a Research Assistant at the Cybersecurity Capacity Centre for Southern Africa (C3SA), where she contributes to research on DNS abuse and cybersecurity awareness. She holds a Master of Commerce in Information Systems (University of Cape Town), a BCom Honours in Management (University of the Western Cape), and a Bachelor of Business Administration (UNISA). A prospective PhD candidate in Cybersecurity (2026), her research interests include ICT infrastructure for remote work, cybersecurity, DNS abuse, and artificial intelligence. She has presented at the 1st International Conference on Technological Advancement in Embedded and Mobile Systems (ICTA-EMoS) in 2022. Her career spans over 15 years in executive support, talent and organizational culture management, and hospitality—rising from Waitress to more senior roles at Rainbow Tourism Group, Adept Solutions, and Solid Systems. Melinda is a passionate minister of the Gospel, deeply family-oriented, and committed to holistic wellbeing—spirit, soul, and body.
